This problem occurs quite often, and if it has passed you by, then you are very lucky. I have repeatedly encountered various errors and a completely non-functional Google Play Market on Android, so I am sharing my personal experience on how to return the most popular service from the Good Corporation to working condition.

So, there are various types of failures in the Google Play Store: technical problems on the service side, constant errors, application crashes and complete inoperability. In this instruction I will give some useful tips on how to fix it all.

1. Reboot Android

The first step is to restart your device. This usually solves most problems with Google Play. If it doesn't help, move on.

2. Reset Google Play Market settings

For this:

1. Go to settings.

2. Open Applications or Application Manager.

3. Find Google Play Store in the list and click on it.

4. In the application settings window, select “Erase data” and “Clear cache”.

I think this should help even more users, but if not, move on.

3. Uninstall Google Play Market updates

We proceed in the same way as in step 2, but now instead of “Erase data” and “Clear cache”, click “Delete updates”.

This will return the Play Market to its original state at the time of installation.

4. Reset Google Play Services app settings

Go to settings again, open “Applications” and find “Google Play Services” in the list. Open it and clear cache and data as well.

5. Clear Google Services Framework cache and data

Go to Settings → Applications → All tab. Select "Google Services Framework". Click "Erase data" and "Clear cache".

6. Google Accounts app is disabled

Go to Settings → Applications → All tab. Select Google Accounts. If this application is disabled, please enable it.

7. Enable "Download Manager"

In the applications section, swipe left to go to the “All” tab and open “Download Manager”. If you have it disabled, click "Enable".

8. Delete your Google account and restore it

9. Applications blocking the Google Play Market

Some programs may block the Play Store. For example, the well-known Freedom application, which allows you to make in-app purchases for free, can interfere with the normal operation of the Google app store.

10. Set up the “hosts” file

If you have the application installed, then this item is just for you.

In theory, the so-called Windows boot manager is believed to appear when the computer starts only if there are two or more operating systems installed on board. However, this is not always the case. Most of this may be due to the presence of one OS installed on top of another for which residual components have not been removed. Naturally, when transferring control from the BIOS, the operating system is offered a choice of which one it wants to run. This is where the “Boot Manager” comes in, since not every user knows how to delete boot entries or partitions. However, even despite this factor, you can disable the bootloader. But first, let's look at what it really is.

Windows Boot Manager: What is it?

As is already clear, this service is designed to select an operating system when starting a computer device. It is compatible with all known operating systems and can boot not only Windows, but UNIX-like systems like Linux. Don't delude yourself - it's not designed for Mac OS X.

However, problems often arise when starting Windows systems themselves. The same residual files that were not deleted during the installation of a new system over the old one (or when installing a new OS into a virtual partition) “Boot Manager” first analyzes all startup records available in all partitions (both physical and logical), after which suggests downloading a specific version of the OS. As is already clear, this is quite inconvenient. The wait is quite long, especially if the files of the old system were damaged, but are still physically located on the hard drive.

How to disable a service in the simplest way?

The issue of disabling is to use the system configuration settings, which can be reached by entering the msconfig command in the Run console.

In the download window you can perform (at least) two main actions:

• select the boot OS and use it as the default;
• second OS.

After saving the changes made, the “Download Manager” will no longer appear.

System parameters

Also, for convenience, you can use the system properties section, called up through the RMB menu on the computer icon, where you can go to the boot and recovery options.

Here you just need to select your preferred operating system to start, specify the time period for displaying a list of all installed OSes and save the changes. It is clear that setting a zero value, expressed in seconds, to start the OS does not provide for the appearance of the “Boot Manager” upon a subsequent system restart (if there are really two or more systems). But if your computer uses a virtual machine with a different OS, it is not recommended to change these settings.

Debugging from the command line

It makes much more sense to use the command console. Ordinary users do not like to work with it, considering the commands and executable processes to be too abstruse. But advanced users understand that the command console is almost the only salvation even in case of critical system failures.

In our situation, you can do two things. The first solution comes down to logging into the selected system via the bootloader as an administrator, launching a command line (necessarily as an administrator) and executing the command bcdedit.exe /default (current) in it. This way, the currently used operating system for booting will be installed by default.

The second option also involves using the command console, but only to remove the extra system proposed for launch. The line used here is bcdedit.exe /delete (ntldr) /f. The current OS (in which all actions are currently performed) remains unchanged, and the second (or its remnants) is excluded from the boot.

Android Download Manager

Finally, a few words about mobile systems. We take Android devices solely as an example (Apple devices also have such functions).

Unlike desktop systems, this applet is presented either as a starter application with a choice of downloading between Windows and Android, which is found exclusively on Chinese counterfeit smartphones and tablets. Original devices do not have such a function (unless the user himself installed a second operating system, which is unlikely).

The applet itself is a common means of tracking and controlling the downloading of files and belongs to the category of programs called downloaders. Some applications contain additional functions in the form of system optimization or the presence of a VPN module, but all this has absolutely nothing to do with analogue Windows systems.

Roughly speaking, if you can install two Windows systems on one terminal with a choice of different partitions, then such tricks do not work in the case of smartphones or tablets based on Android. In general, if you are offered an Android device with multiple OSes on board, you can be sure that it is a cheap fake, since the original devices use only one OS.

Google Play, aka Play Market or Play Store- all this is the same program, which is one of the main ones in the Android operating system, because it is it that opens the doors to the world of applications and games for our smartphone and tablet. But sometimes it happens that when we launch the Google Play market, instead of the usual applications, we see a page with the inscription "Check your connection and try again" and the Retry button or the market gives some errors. Unfortunately, the Google Play application, like absolutely any other program, is not immune to all sorts of errors and failures in its operation. This happens quite often, and if suddenly you have a similar message or the application does not load at all, then this article is for you.

In this article we will try to answer the question: “What to do if the Google Play market does not work or does not start on your smartphone or tablet?”, as well as describe all sorts of problems when working with the Play Store and ways to solve them.

Method No. 1

Check the Internet on your device

It would seem that the answer is tritely simple, but for Google Play to work, a working Internet connection is required. Therefore, first of all, check whether the Wi-Fi network or mobile Internet (packet data transfer) is working on your smartphone or tablet; maybe you just forgot to turn them on. If everything works, go to any of the browsers that you have installed - Chrome, Firefox, Opera and open some page to make sure that the Internet is working. If the Internet is not working, then reboot your router or router.

Enable disabled Google apps and Download Manager (Downloads)
